Repeat! Scurlock, Dennis win again at Chanticleer National Four-Ball
Back-to-back champs Blair Scurlock and Will Dennis
GREENVILLE, S.C. — Blair Scurlock and Will Dennis made it two in a row at Greenville Country Club on Sunday, running away with a 10-shot win at the 2nd annual Chanticleer National Four-Ball Tournament.
The pair opened with 64 on day one to set the pace, leading by three, before maintaining that lead after Saturday's round. Then on Sunday, the team used two eagles en route to a 69, their "worst" score of the tournament that still managed to extend their lead from three to 10.
There was a three-way tie for second place at 7-under 209 that included Garland Ferrell and Matt Hayes, Ben Goforth and Jake Thompson, and Wesley Harden and Buddy Davis.
Fifth-place finishers Thomas Todd and Jordan Sease got within three of the winners through the first two days with a 64 of their own, but failed to make a birdie on Sunday until the 16th hole. Their final-round 77 dropped them to the outskirts of the top-five.
