Tim Jasper wins by four at High Plains Amateur

GARDEN CITY, Kan. — Round one co-leader Tim Jasper fired a final-round even par 71 to claim the 2015 High Plains Amateur Championship at The Golf Club at Southwind in Garden City, Kansas.
The Southwestern College assistant coach, who is in his fourth year at the program, was able to withstand Southwind's tough closing nine to win by four strokes. Lamar Carlile, of Denver, Colo., finished solo second with two consecutive rounds of 72.
Skyler Tebo, a Garden City Community College golfer, shared the first-day lead with Jasper but struggled to a 76 on Sunday and fell five shots back into a tie for third place.
In the Master Division, Kansas Golf Association President Gary Lucas of Topeka won by seven shots. The Senior Division stayed close right to the final putt. In the end, Lyons native Tim McKinnis edged the field to win by one. McKinnis finished the championship at eight under par and claimed his second KGA victory in 2015.
