Champions Crowned at 27th Kansas Four-Ball
Kansas University golfer Chase Hanna and his partner, University of South Florida golfer Joseph Winslow, claimed the 27th Kansas Four-Ball Championship on Sunday afternoon at Alvamar Golf Course in Lawrence. Hanna and Winslow trailed the entire match until winning the 13th and 14th holes to get the match back to even with the Wichita team of Jared Burns and Alex Graf. A timely birdie on the 17th hole by Chase Hanna ended up being the winner after both teams halved the 18th hole with par.
Burns and Graf both recently graduated from Wichita Kapaun High School and will continue their golf careers this fall at Washburn University and Rockhurst University, respectively.
Teams played 36-holes of four-ball stroke play qualifying on June 4 & 5 to determine the low teams to advance to the single elimination match play brackets.
