Three-shot lead for Joshua Sedeno at Memorial
Joshua Sedeno
SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Del Oro High School junior Joshua Sedeno leads defending champion Cameron Champ by three entering the final round of the Memorial Amateur at Ancil Hoffman Golf Course.
Sedeno, who will attend Southern Methodist University in the fall of 2016, fired an even-par 70 after an opening-round 66. He sits at 136, three shots ahead of Champ, a Texas A&M soon-to-be sophomore, who has rounds of 67 and 72 in the books thus far.
First-round leader Mark Cobey, who just finished his freshman year at Cal State Fullerton, struggled mightily in the second round. He posted 80 after opening with 65 to lead by one after Saturday's first round. He is now in a tie for 24th place.
The cut fell at seven-over par 147, with 42 players moving on to play Monday's final round.
