Rinko Mitsunaga wins Kathy Whitworth Invitational

FORT WORTH, Texas — Rinko Mitsunaga of Georgia captured the Kathy Whitworth Invitational on Tuesday, defeating Stephanie Lau of California in a playoff at 146.
Mitsunaga, who has committed to play collegiately for the Georgia Bulldogs this fall, shot 72-74 to tie with Lau, who will play for Northwestern University this fall. Lau, out of Fullerton, Calif., shot consecutive rounds of 73.
Defending champion Nelly Korda shot 76-72 and tied for fourth place, just two back of Mitsunaga.
