TCU edges Texas Tech at Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate

PALM DESERT, Calif. — Texas Tech had a nine-shot cushion entering Sunday's final round at the Wyoming-hosted Desert Intercollegiate at The Classic Club but Texas Christian University fought back to edge the Red Raiders by a stroke.
Paul Barjon and Chelso Barrett fired 69s on the final day to help TCU complete the comeback, with Barjon finishing in second place for the individual title four shots behind Clement Sordet of Texas Tech.
Sordet shot 11-under for the tournament, posting rounds of 69-65-71.
Denver University placed third, just two back of the winner, thanks to a final-round, 12-under 276. The Pioneers were led by Petter Mikalsen, who finished in third, and Chris Korte, who finished just behind Mikalsen in fourth.
