Jarryd Felton wins The Dunes Medal by four
Jarryd Felton
RYE, Australia (Nov. 28, 2014) — Jarryd Felton won The Dunes Medal in rounds two and three, where he posted consecutive 67's and took a seven-shot lead into the final day.
On that final day, Felton posted 73, which is what he shot in the first round, and won by four strokes over Brett Coletta and Thomas Power Horan, both of Victoria.
Felton, of West Australia, now has at least his fourth win of 2014 as he has also captured the Tasmanian Open, Mandurah Easter Amateur, and New South Wales Amateur.
Coletta, who took second place, shot the second lowest round of the final day, a 67, that jumped him up into a tie for the runner-up position with Horan, who also had a nice day with 69.
Second-round leader Kade McBride finished alone in fourth place at 285, five shots behind Felton.
