Schniederjans, McCoy top newly released Palmer Cup rankings

NORMAN, Okla. (Nov. 19, 2014) — The fall
Palmer Cup Ranking for the 2015
event was released today. The top six golfers
from the final ranking in the Spring
from both the United States and Europe shall be
among the 10 individuals
selected to compete in the Palmer Cup at Rich
Harvest Farms June 12-14.
Using Golfstat’s NCAA Player Ranking as a base,
the Palmer Cup Ranking awards
bonus points for wins and high finishes and a
negative bonus for poor finishes.
The ranking also contains a strength of schedule
component.

ABOUT THE
Palmer Cup
The annual Ryder Cup-style competition
features
top men and women collegiate players from the
United States
against their International counterparts.
Each team will be comprised of 12 men's and
12
women's golfers.
Day one will feature Mixed Four-Ball
competition, day
two will see Mixed
Foursomes in the morning and Four-Ball in the
afternoon, with 24 singles
matches on the final day.
