MESQUITE, Nev. (Nov. 12, 2014) — There were no amateur players in the top-30 after round one of the Nevada Open, but 24-year-old Ryan McCullough fired the lowest round on day two to jump into a tie for seventh place and sit just two shots back of the lead.

David Rose of Canada posted 62 on Tuesday while McCullough shot 70, but a 64 on Wednesday brought him to within two shots of Rose, and four other co-leaders — Seann Harlingten, Tom Whitney, Kevin Roy, and Michael McCabe.

While the first 36 holes were split between The Palms Golf Club and CasaBlanca Golf Club in Mesquite, the final round will be played exclusively at CasaBlanca, where McCullough shot his low round.
