Brady Exber
CHARLESTON, S.C. (Oct. 2, 2014) — Brady Exber clearly enjoys playing The Country Club of Charleston. This Seth Raynor design from 1925 has hosted the Azalea and Senior Azalea Invitationals since 1988. Since 2011, Brady Exber has been the champion at the end of 54 holes.
And now, looking for his fourth straight title, he leads by a commanding nine shots with one round remaining.
Exber, the 2014 British Senior Amateur champion, shot consecutive 67's on Wednesday and Thursday to sit nine shots ahead of second-place men Russ Perry and Edward Vomastek at one-over.
Perry trailed Exber by only a stroke after day one when he shot 68, but struggled to a 75 on Thursday but still remains in second place.
Exber has had a phenomenal year in 2014. Aside from his British Senior Amateur win, he was also runner-up at the Canadian Senior Amateur to Doug Roxburgh.
