Coronado City: Theegala shots 68 to lead by two

CORONADO, Calif. (Sept. 27, 2014) — Sahith Theegala, a senior at Diamond Bar High School, shot 68 on Saturday to lead the Coronado City Amateur Championship after one round.
Sitting alone in second place is Mike Mehran, who shot 70-68 in last year's even to finish in a tie for third, two shots back of winner Pablo Matesanz.
Two players are tied for third at 71, including Tyler Moore and Carter Pool. Moore finished fifth in 2013, going 67-72.
In the Women's division, Hayley Moore leads by three with a 70.
In the Senior division, John Hoffman holds a two-shot advantage over Ken Kubis and Edward Lang at 74. AmateurGolf.com founder Pete Wlodkowski is five shot back and tied for fourth at 77.
