Tyler Archer wins Concord City
CONCORD, Calif. (Sept 7, 2014) -- For David Naumann, holding the trophy on Sunday wasn't probably in his thoughts starting the day, but when things go right they go right.
Starting Saturday shooting a 78, Naumann had at least 6 players in front of them. Two of them, NCGA regular winner Mark Miller and Mike Parnow, were 5 in front of him at 73. But Naumann blistered his way around the Diablo Creek course on Sunday and fired 68, passing the leaders and giving him a stroke to spare over Mike Staskus, a very solid player from Olympic Club.
Tyler Tyler Archer posted 141 to edge Scott Olds and Zach Smith by a stroke; his rounds of 70-71 did the trick. Dom De Bellis, the AmateurGolf.com Tournament Director, fired 144 over the weekend for a solid 4th place finish.
