Kammann opens with 68 to lead Tennessee Mid-Amateur

Ooltewah, Tenn. (August 27, 2014) — Knoxville’s Scott Kammann fired an opening round 68 (-4) to take the lead after round one of the Tennessee Mid-Amateur Championship presented by Gentleman Jack, which is being conducted at The Honors Course in Ooltewah, TN.
A trio of players shot opening rounds of 69 (-3) and are tied for second place, one shot behind Kammann. These players include Nick Blakely, Kevin Watford and 2012 Tennessee Open champion Craig Smith.
Six-time TGA Mid-Amateur champion, and reigning State Amateur champion, Tim Jackson, is two shots back of the lead at 70 (-2). Defending champion, Philip Lee, had a 73 (+1) and is currently tied for 10th place.

of a TGA Club. Qualifying is required for those
who
do
not meet the exemption criteria. Format consists
of
54
holes of stroke play with a cut following the second
round.
