CHARLOTTE, N.C. (August 24, 2014) — Joe Jaspers sunk a 25-foot par putt on the 18th green to put an exclamation mark on his final round Sunday as he captured his fifth Charlotte City Amateur Golf Tournament.

Jaspers finished the final round at Quail Hollow Club with a 2-under par 70 to capture the 2014 event with a three-round 7-under 208. The 24 golfers in Sunday’s final round faced the identical pin placements from the 2014 Wells Fargo final round.

Jaspers received the “Ron Green Sr.” trophy for winning the tournament, with the hardware named after the long-time Charlotte Observer golf writer and columnist. Green was in attendance Sunday at Quail Hollow for the trophy presentation.
