Pastore, Lowe will meet at Metropolitan Amateur final
David Pastore
LOCUST VALLEY, N.Y. (August 2, 2014) – After two grueling semifinal matches at The Creek Club, the championship match is set for Sunday at the 112th running of the New York Metropolitan Amateur.
The final will pin reigning "Ike" champion David Pastore up against Matthew Lowe.
Both matches needed the 18th hole to decide a winner and par would be enough to get the job done for both advancing golfers. Pastore defeated Sam Bernstein one up, while Lowe defeated two-time Metropolitan Golf Association Player of the Year Joe Saladino two up.
