Oklahoma Amateur: Brendon Jelley wins hard fought match for title
OWASSO, Okla. (July 23, 2014) -- Brendon Jelley defeated Preston Crawford on Wednesday at the Oklahoma Amateur to become the newest champion.
The Oklahoma State Cowboy made five birdies on the day to hold Crawford off, and it turned out to be just enough. Nine holes were won by one side or the other, with no one taking more than a two-up lead all day.
Jelley won the 16th hole to retake the lead, and it turned out to be enough. Both players parred the final two to decide the final outcome.
