CINCINNATI, Ohio (July 9, 2014) -- Will Grimmer, who qualified for the 2014 U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2, shot a second-round 66 to grab the lead after two rounds of play at the 2014 Ohio State Amateur Championship Wednesday.

At Coldstream Country Club, Grimmer, an Ohio State commit, leads by a shot over Robert Gerwin. Gerwin also shot 66 Wedneday to climb the leaderboard.

Peter Samborsky and Tim Crowch are tied for third after rounds of 71 and 70, respectively while Andrew Dorn, another player in the field that reached the U.S. Open last month, shot 69 to climb into a three-way tie for fifth place.

Dorn, of course, is the event's defending champion.
