Three tied at top of Long Beach City
LONG BEACH, Calif. (June 27, 2014) -- Mark Jensma, Joe Doody, and Pete Fernandez each shot 4-under 68 and lead the field at the Long Beach City Championship at El Dorado Park.
Jensma, who won the Long Beach Match Play earlier this month, is looking to pull off the double with a win at the Long Beach City Championship.
He has a lot of competition however, as 38 players are currently at par or better.
University of Washington's Jonathan Saunders is close behind after firing 3-under 69. Saunders won the NCAA Raleigh Regional last month with a 10-under 203 total.
The Long Beach City Championship is a 54-hole tournament, played at El Dorado Park, Recreation Park, and Skylinks.
The field will be cut to the low third of the field and ties after tomorrow's round at Recreation Park.
