KK Limbhasut grabs Western Junior lead
FLOSSMOOR, Ill. (June 19, 2014) -- KK Limbhasut fired a third-round 65 to take a three-shot lead at the 2014 Western Junior Championship Thursday.
Limbhasut, who'll play next year at Cal, shot 74-69 over the first two days of the event but broke through for the low round of the tournament on Thursday.
He'll enter Friday's finale up by three shots over Luis Gagne, who also went low Thursday, firing a 6-under 66 to climb the leaderboard.
Dawson Armstrong and Daniel Wetterich shared the lead entering the round but shot 70 and 73, respectively, to fall back a few places on the leaderboard. Armstrong is four shots off the lead and alone in third place while Wetterich sits alone in fourth place.
Jack Comstock of Florida rounds out the Top 5.

This historic 72-hole stroke play event open to male amateur golfers who are at least 12 years old and have not reached their 19th birthday as of the date of the last round. Entrants cannot be a member of a college golf team or have participated in any supervised team activities. Must conform to USGA gender policy and rules of amateur status. Exemption categories can be found on the Western Golf Association website.
