National Senior Hall of Fame: Stan Lee takes early lead

HIGH POINT, N.C. (June 18, 2014) -- Stan Lee shot 2-under 70 and leads after one round of play at the 2014 National Senior Amateur Hall of Fame at High Point Country Club.
Playing the Willow Creek Course, Lee jumped out to a one-shot lead over a solid field of nationally-ranked seniors.
Tied for second place are Brady Exber and Paul Schlachter. The duo shot 1-under 71 and hope to make a move on Thursday in the second of three rounds in the 54-hole event.
James Castagna, Louis Lee and Russ Perry all shot even par 72 and sit tied for fourth place after Round 1. Another group of five, which includes the notable Chip Lutz, are just three shots back on a crowded leaderboard.
Two-time defending champion Paul Simson is four shots back.
