Kansas Four-Ball: Yates, Hecker roll to title
LAWRENCE, Kan. (June 8, 2014) -- Colby Yates and Jordan Hecker knocked off Conrad Roberts and Bradley Lane to win the 2014 Kansas Four-Ball.
Yates, who plays golf at Missouri-St. Louis, and Washburn College golfer Hecker, rolled past Roberts and Lane, 6 and 5, Sunday at Alvamar Golf Course.
Through the 13 holes of the match, Yates and Hecker were an impressive 9-under par.
In the Masters Division, Olathe's Scott Kramer and his partner Michael Hawken of Shawnee took down Manhattan's Tj Vilkanskas and his partner Tyson Osborn of Columbia, MO, by 1 up margin after a back and forth champioship match. Thank you to all the teams for be patient with the weather as we completed the championship. A huge thank you is also owed to the staff at Alvamar Golf Course for getting the golf course in playable condition each day following heavy rains!
