Joliet Amateur: Drenth tops Nathan
CATON FARM, Ill. (June 2, 2014) -- Dusty Drenth shot rounds of 68-69 to win by four shots at the 2014 Joliet Amateur at Wedge Wood Golf Course.
Drenth trailed Kyle Nathan by a shot after Round 1 but caught fire on Sunday to best Nathan, the red-hot mid-amateur who finished second at the Carlton Woods Invitational and recently won the I-80 Amateur, by four shots.
Chadd Slutzky was third, closing with a 70 while Brian Burlington and Kyle Kochevar tied for fourth place.
The Joliet Amateur is a 36-hole stroke-play championship that attracts a field of up to 180 golfers from the midwest.
