Arizona Mid-Am: Ken Tanigawa laps field
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (May 31, 2014) -- Ken Tanigawa shot a final-round 68 and never looked back, winning the 2014 Arizona Mid-Amateur Championship by an impressive eight shots.
At Quintero, Tanigawa built upon the lead he took in Friday's second round to shoot the day's low round for a second straight round.
Kevin Rhoderick shot 82-74-69 to take solo second, finishing four shots clear of defending champion Kristoffer Marshall (73-82-74), who led after Round 1.
Adam Walicki, Patrick Geare and Tom Sweigart finished tied for fourth place --- 13 shots back of Tanigawa's torrid pace.
