NCGA Senior: Vanier, Boyns return after 2013 battle
PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. (April 28, 2014) -- Gary Vanier returns to defend his Northern California Senior Championship title starting Monday at Spyglass Hill.
Vanier, who holds the impressive claim of winning both the California State and Senior Amateur championships, prevailed over a loaded NCGA Senior field last year.
He battled with Casey Boyns through the back nine of the final round and won a playoff.
The two return to lead another solid field with some recent success. Vanier comes in off a win at the Stockton City Four-Ball while Boyns recently won our AmateurGolf.com California Medal Play Senior title.
