Arizona Stroke Play: Hoops jumps into lead

CHANDLER, Ariz. (April 18, 2014) -- Bryan Hoops shot a second-round 3-under 68 and leads at the 2014 Arizona Stroke Play Championship at Lone Tree Golf Club.
Hoops, who competes at the mid-amateur level in many tournament across the country, shot 71 in the first round and leads by a shot over a trio of golfers.
First-round leader Eric Ghim, Ryan Schwartz and Rick Bogalad are all one shot back entering the third of four rounds.
Jack McDevitt, Sam Triplett, Tyler Saunders and James Russon are all two shots back on a jam-packed leaderboard that features 10 players within two shots of the lead and another 12 players inside of five shots heading into Saturday's crucial Round 3.

Arizona Stroke Play
72-holes of individual stroke play at gross. A cut to the
low 51 players + ties will be made after 36 holes. This
is an Open event. All players must have amateur status
and have an active membership with an AGA Member
Club to participate. Individuals must carry an up-to-
date handicap index not exceeding 8.0 under the Rules
of Handicapping to be eligible to participate.
