Palm Beach International: Helfrich wins playoff
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (April 6, 2014) -- Jeff Helfrich won this year's Palm Beach International in a playoff over Deron Zendt and John Wegmann.
Tied after regulation with 82 points (stableford format) Helfrich parred the fourth playoff hole to edge out Deron Zendt for the victory. Wegmann was eliminated on the first playoff hole after making bogey.
Helfrich finished with rounds of 44-38--82, Zendt 45-37--82 and Wegmann 41-41--82. Pete Williams finished fourth at 38-41--79 and Brandon Brookshire was fifth at 41-37--78.
The stableford scoring system awards 1 point for bogey, 2 points for par, 4 points for birdie and 6 points for eagle.
