USGA champs Stan, Louis Lee win Caddo Creek Sr. Team title

BISMARCK, Ark. (Oct. 23, 2013) -- The Lee brothers of Heber Springs Arkansas, both former USGA Senior Amateur Champions, Stan in 2007 and Louis in 2011, won the 5th Annual Caddo Creek Senior Team Championship at the nine hole golf club in Bismarck.

The duo posted a 2 under par 33 in the Better Ball of Pairs segment, an even par 35 in the Modified Alternate Shot format and finished their total with Louis posting a 2 under par 33 to go along with brother Stan's even par 35 in the stroke play final nine holes for a 4 under par total of 136.

The pair won the event previously in 2011 when they shot a record score of 127 or 13 under par.The Lee team bested the team of former college teamates, Bobby Baker of Little Rock and Randy Moore of Texarkana, whose even par total of 140 consisted of a one under par 34 in the Better Ball, a 2 under par 33 in the Alternate Shot nine and Baker's 36 and Moore's 37 in the stroke play portion. In third place was the Hot Springs Village team from Diamante Country Club of Dave Clark and Fred Stamey.

Their total for the 27 hole event was 146. The tournament had two divisions and the team of Sam McAllister of Bryant and Don White of Sparkman won the Jack Fleck Flight with a score of 146. They had been previous winners of the championship division in 2009 and 2010.
