Keperra Bowl: Macdonald wins wire-to-wire
KEPERRA, Queensland (Oct. 18, 2013) -- Taylor Macdonald (Redcliffe) has won the 2013 Keperra Bowl at the Keperra Country Golf Club after a fantastic display of consistency over the four days.

The Queensland Academy of Sport and National Squad Member was nothing but brilliant all week, firing a first round six-under par (66) and going one better in the second round with seven-under par (65). His two round total of 131 (-13 ) was seven shots clear of his nearest rival.

Macdonald further increased his lead on the third day of the tournament, firing a three-under par (69) to eliminate any potential rivals heading into the final round. He shot four bogies and seven birdies in today's final round to close out his campaign with a three-under par (69), giving him a four round total of 269 (-19).

Damien Jordan (Coolangatta-Tweed) finished in outright second, nine shots back from Macdonald. The 2013 Queensland Men's Mid-Amateur champion, Jordan fired rounds of 69, 70 and 71 for the first three rounds, which placed him in the second last group for the final round. Jordan was nine shots back, but carded two bogies and six birdies to finish with a four-under par (68) making him 278 (-10) for the tournament.

Andrew Schonewille (Yarra Yarra) returned rounds of 69,73,71 and the final day’s best round of six-under par (66) to finish in third place on 279 (-9)
