WV Club Team: Edgewood CC prevails
HURRICANE, W. Virg. (Oct. 14, 2013) — The final Championship of the 2013 golf season wrapped up today at Sleepy Hollow Golf Club for the WV Club Team Championship. A switch from years past, this year’s Championship featured a men’s regular, men’s senior and women’s division. Edgewood Country Club, lead by golf pro, Craig Berner took first place, with Charleston’s Philip Reale, II contributing with a tie for the low round of the day (73). Sleepy Hollow men’s senior team squeezed out a victory, defeating Edgewood in a two-hole playoff. Parkersburg Country Club won the women’s division, where Vienna’s Lauryn Davidson was women’s low round of the day with a 74; a score better than the majority of the entire field.

Entries are open to male and female amateur golfers
with an active GHIN Handicap Index through a
WVGA
Member Club. and professionals who are “Regular
Members” of the WVGA.
Men’s Championship Division: Consists of four (4)
male amateur golfers plus one (1) professional or
amateur captain. The low four (4) gross scores after
18-holes of stroke play will count towards your team
score and the overall Men’s Club Team
Championship. The Men’s Championship Division will
play the full length Men’s set of tees. Men’s Senior
Division: Consists of three (3) male senior amateur
golfers plus one (1) professional or amateur captain.
The low three (3) gross scores after 18-holes of
stroke play will count towards your team score and
the overall Men’s Senior Club Team Championship.
The Men’s Senior Flight will compete from the senior
length set of tees. Women’s Division: Consists of
three (3) female amateur golfers plus one (1)
professional or amateur captain. The low three (3)
gross scores after 18 holes of stroke play will count
towards your team score and the overall Women’s
Club Team Championship.
