Nebraska Sr. Match Play: Muller, Darling medal
VALLEY, Neb. (Aug. 5, 2013) -- Jay Muller of Bennington and Stan Darling of Fremont shared medalist honors Monday during qualifying for the 3rd Nebraska Senior Match Play Championship at Pines Country Club. The pair of golfers shot 2-under 70 and hold the top two seeds in the Championship bracket for match play.
Twenty-nine players competed in the gross division's stroke play qualifier with the top 16 advancing to the Championship bracket; the other 13 comprise the tournament's Presidents Flight.
On the net side golfers were pre-flighted into two brackets of 10. Competitions began today in both the Bob Astleford and the Sam Reynolds flights. Action continues tomorrow.

Nebraska Senior Match Play
Entries are open to amateur golfers ages 50 and
over
who are residents of Nebraska and a member
of the Nebraska Golf Association (NGA).
The field will be limited to 96 players (48 gross & 48
net). Format is 18-holes of stroke play to determine
flights and seeds for match play.
