Levitt wins Costa Mesa City in playoff
COSTA MESA, Calif. (Aug. 4, 2013) — Andrew Levitt of the University of Southern California fired rounds of 66-69 to finish tied atop the leaderboard with Ricky Owaki of Chico State University at the 2013 Costa Mesa City Championship.
It was Levitt prevailing on the second playoff hole with an eagle, after both Levitt and Owaki birdied the first playoff hole.
Owaki shot a 63 in the first round and managed a final-round 72 to fall into the playoff with the USC sophomore-to-be.
Owaki, a native of Yorba Linda, Calif. will be a senior at Chico State in the fall.
Jordan Guillen and Don Dubois finished tied for third while Marcus Sostak, Jacob Schulze and Yao-Chun Yang tied for fifth.
Other flight winners included Chris Crump, Rick Gonzales, Scott Hood, Will Ritter and George Borst.
