Andrew Dorn wins Ohio State Amateur
Andrew Dorn
COLUMBUS, Ohio (July 12, 2013) -- It's been a fantastic July for Andrew Dorn.
Fresh off a victory in the prestigious North & South Amateur at Pinehurst in North Carolina, the West Chester native won the rain-shortened Ohio State Amateur Championship today at
Dorn trailed by as many as three shots early, then overtook Michael Bernard on the 14th hole before adding clinching birdies on the two closing holes.
“I take pride in the last four holes,” Dorn told the Associated Press after capping a 2-over-par 73 that left him with a two-stroke victory. “I really tried to focus even harder than I had all day on the last four holes, especially knowing how close it was going to be.”
Dorn plays for Coastal Carolina University.
