Delaware Am: Hickman wins by 21 strokes
TOWNSEND, Del. (July 10, 2013) -- Christopher Hickman completed a masterful performance Wednesday, winning the 2013 Delaware State Amateur by an impressive 21 shots.
Hickman shot rounds of 68-66-67-67 for a 20-under total. The nearest competitor was Jay Whitby, who took second place at 1-over par thanks to rounds of 75-68-70-76.
Hickman, a freshman at East Tennessee State, led from the start and took over during the second round at Odessa National Golf club. Winning tournaments in Delaware is no stranger to the left hander; he won the Delaware State Junior three years in a row from 2009 through 2011.
Jerry Temple Jr. and Rick Pruchnik were tied for third.
