Cincinnati Amateur: Top seeds stay alive
CINCINNATI, Ohio (June 27, 2013) -- Top seed Bill Williamson moved past the first round of play in the 2013 Greater Cincinnati Amateur Championship at Hyde Park Golf & Country Club Wednesday.
Williamson took the top seed ahead of former University of Cincinnati golfer Nick Lykins, fired 67-66 in the qualifying rounds to take medalist honors by three shots.
The only other player to be under par for 36 holes was Coastal Carolina University junior Andrew Dorn, who shot 69-67.
Both Lykins and Dorn advanced into the Round of 32. Both the Rounds of 32 and 16 will be contested Thursday at Hyde Park.
