Greystone: Hitchner holds slim lead
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (June 22, 2013) — 17-year old Tyler Hitcher will take a one stroke lead into the final round of the Greystone Invitational after shooting one of only three sub-70's rounds on Saturday — 69.
His three-round total of two-under par 214 is one of just four total scores to be under par.
John Tyner, Cory Evans and Caleb Sturgeon sit one shot back at one-under.
Second-round leaders Drew Czuchry and Forrest Gamble struggled on Saturday, with Czuchry shooting 74 and Gamble dropping back to T15th with a 77.
Eight players remain within eight shots of the lead.
The Greystone Invitational is a 72-hole tournament, featuring an impressive field of the south's top collegians and top mid-amateurs from Alabama, Louisiana and beyond.
