With the Rogue ST, Callaway’s infusion of tungsten across its offering of clubs continues to dominate the narrative.
Strategic placement of tungsten is a major part of the design of all four offerings of irons, with up to 260 percent more tungsten in their Rogue ST irons than in their 2020 Maverick models.
“There’s a lot more Tungsten in here than we’ve ever put in an iron of this type,” Dr. Alan Hocknell explained in Callaway’s launch event, “that, similar to the fairway wood, is to control the ball flight all the way through the set.”
The four Rogue models released this year, Rogue ST Max, Rogue ST Max OS, Rogue ST Max OS Lite, and Rogue ST Pro, all utilize the same A.I. face technology that Callaway applied to its drivers, hybrids, and fairway woods. It creates a unique clubface design for every iron in each line. It's the kind of design and manufacturing precision that Callaway engineers have been able to deliver since their investment in supercomputers several years ago. This investment put them at the forefront of using A.I. machine learning in consumer products.
While each iron has tungsten printed on the toe's sole side of the club, its use of the element blends with the A.I. face technology to deliver for the consumer. The Rogue ST Max OS and Rogue ST Max OS Lite have the tungsten lower on the club than the Max and Pro models.
Like the Rogue ST Max fairway wood model, this lowers the center of gravity, helping the ball get higher into the air and retain enough spin to attack even the most difficult hole locations. Additionally, the technology in the Pro delivers more consistent shot-making results in a blade-style club.
Here's a breakdown of the product line:
ROGUE ST PRO
Rogue ST Pro irons are designed for low-to-mid single-digit handicap golfers. They feature all
the best technologies of Rogue ST, in a hollow body construction and a compact player's shape.
ROGUE ST MAX
Rogue ST MAX Irons have refined game-improvement shaping and the strongest lofts in the
Rogue ST family. They fit a wide range of golfers who want incredible speed, forgiveness, and
all-around iron performance.
ROGUE ST MAX OS
Rogue ST MAX OS Irons provide a refined game-improvement shaping, with high launch, wide
soles, and enhanced offset. They’re specifically designed for mid-to-high handicap golfers
looking to get the most out of their irons.
ROGUE ST MAX OS Lite
Rogue ST MAX OS Lite irons have a refined game-improvement shaping, with high launch, wide
soles, and enhanced offset. The Lite version features more loft, lighter shafts, and lighter
swingweights to make these the highest launching, and most forgiving of the four Rogue ST models.
