The MCC Plus4 grip from Golf Pride combines a soft feel within a cord-like performance.
When asked, pro golfers will speak. And
when they speak, you need to listen.
Especially when it's something so simple, yet
so profoundly important as grip preference.
As an addition to their 2015 product line, Golf
Pride has expanded upon
their very successful New
Decade and Whiteout series with the brand
new MCC Plus4. Plus 4 stands
for the
removal of the tapering seen in most grips,
and adding the equivalent of 4 “wraps”
underneath the lower hand (a 4.6 percent
larger lower hand diameter than other MCC’s).
Through tour input and testing, Golf
Pride concluded that most players prefer a
slightly larger grip with a less tapered transfer
into the lower hand. However, they didn’t stop
there. The feel of these grips, with a new
multi-compound design and the use of BCT
(Brushed Cotton Technology), creates a
perfect combination of soft feel within a cord-
like performance. I just had these in my hand
for the first time yesterday, and the feel
instantly won me over from the New Decade
Whiteout’s I had been gaming the past three
years. Minutes later they were being put on
every club in the bag.

Golf
Pride's MCC Plus4 encourages lighter grip
pressure, reduced tension, and increased
power. |
Available in three colors - red, blue and
light grey, they are a .60 round grip that
weighs about five grams heavier than the New
Decade MCC’s. It will lighten up the swing
weight a touch; it's an arbitrary amount as
overall club weight will go up slightly.
The New Decade MultiCompound MCC
Plus4 retails for $9.59 per grip. It is a tour-
proven hybrid with a new, strategically placed
Micro-Texture to encourage lighter grip
pressure, reduce tension and increase power
while providing downswing stability.
