Grey Rock Golf Club was designed by Jay Morrish in 1987. The course has a relaxed atmoshphere and a definite Texas Hill Country feel, although the elevation changes are not as pronounced as others in the region. Reachable par 5's, cuttable doglegs, and two potentially driveable par-4's offer the chance to play aggressively and post a low score, but there are plenty of trees and hazards to punish reckless play. The course has hosted the Canadian Tour, the Texas Women's Amateur, U.S. Open Qualifying and now hosts the Austin Open.
