About
My name is Quade Cummins from Weatherford, Oklahoma. I am an OU recruit and will be playing for the OU Men’s Golf team in the fall of 2015. I have always enjoyed playing golf. I began golfing at a very early age as my parents often took me to the golf course before I could even walk.
At the age of 8 years old, I won my first junior golf tournament at Riverside Golf Course in Clinton, Oklahoma. I was successful and confident with my golf talent then, and continued practicing with my dad, grandpa, and friends. I continued entering and winning junior golf tournaments.
I love golf, and I love winning. I have won several big victories in golf. A few of the most memorable times were when I won the Junior PGA tournament at the age of 11. Another big win for me was when I became the OGA Junior boys champion at the age of 15 in 2011 and again in 2012, back-to-back. My most recent victory was when I won the State 4A Golf Championship my sophomore year of high school. I’ve won several OJGT tournaments as well.
Most recently, I just finished my high school career with a second individual state golf title on May 12, 2015. I won Class 4A Golf State Championship, finishing with an Eagle on the 18th hole.
I look forward to continuing my golf success at the University of Oklahoma.
