Have approached the game from all angles: as
a player, college coach, sport psych,
tournament director, referee, caddie, starter,
marshal, photographer, author, and researcher.
Introduced to the game by my dad, who got
me involved in junior golf in the Houston area
and in the AJGA back in the early days. Played
college golf at Rice University. Since then,
have been able to keep competing well into my
forties, playing in all kinds of national and
state championships, opens, invitationals, mid-
ams, four-balls, scrambles,
shambles--you
name it--in thirty-six states and seven
countries. Been through all the ups and downs
of trying to master the game, and of trying to
maintain the balance between golf, work and
family. Still learn something every time I play,
which isn't enough these days!
