BLYTHWOOD, SC (Sept. 17, 2011) -- Teaming up for the first time in competition, Robert Dargan and Chris Mitchell dominated the field shooting a final round eleven under par 61 for a two day total of 125 and a six shot victory in the SCGA's Players Four Ball Championship at Columbia Country Club. The tandem from Columbia and Prosperity combined for eleven birdies and no bogies for the day. After Robert Dargan's seven birdie barrage in the first round, Mitchell followed with eight of his own birdies in the final round.

ABOUT THE South Carolina Players Four-Ball

One of the most popular events that the SCGA conducts is the Players Four Ball Championship historically competed at Columbia Country Club. Played over a weekend in September, this event has become a favorite event for the players.

With the field broken into flights after the first round, participants of all abilities can come enjoy and still compete against other teams of the same caliber. The atmosphere at the Players Four Ball is not only highly competitive, but thrives on the social aspect.
