SCGA Senior Amateur: Pridmore Outlasts Engel in Five-Hole Playoff to Claim Title

Jason Pridmore of Ventura captured the Southern California Senior Amateur Championship after defeating Dick Engel of Lancaster in a marathon five-hole playoff at Alisal Ranch Course. Both players finished regulation at 4-under 212, with Pridmore posting 68-72-72 and Engel carding 69-70-73. The playoff reversed their positions from the second-round leaderboard, where Engel had led by one. Craig Davis of Chula Vista and Randy Haag of Orinda tied for third at 3-under 213, with Davis firing a tournament-low 70 in the final round. Tim Hogarth of Northridge, who opened with a tournament-best 66 and led by three strokes early in the final round, stumbled to a closing 80 and finished alone in seventh at 1-under 215.
