Beckler closes with 66 to win High Plains Amateur

With a final-round, 5-under 66, Topeka native Andrew Beckler won the High Plains Amateur at Dodge City's Mariah Hills Golf Course on Sunday. Beckler, who is about to be a senior on the Washburn University men's golf team, finished the championship at 6-under 136 for a three-shot victory.
Salina junior golfer Tate Herrenbruck finished second and Goddard's Elliot Soyez took third. Junction City's Andrew King finished in fourth while Jeff Bell, Cole Gritton and Nicklaus Mason all tied for fifth.
In the masters division, Salina's Sean Robertson earned a five-shot win at 8-over 150. Dodge City's Tyson Clark finished in second place.
In the senior division, KGA veteran John Bailey added to his trophy collection with the senior title. Bailey finished the championship at 2-over 144, which was two shots better than Wichita's Tracy Chamberlin.
