A Clemson triple team at the Wake Forest Invitational

With the 12-team field collectively shooting 638 over par for the week, the Clemson Tigers tamed Pinehurst No. 2 with a 2-under final round of 278 to win the Wake Forest Invitational on the famed course on Tuesday.
At 858 (+18), Clemson earned a 16-stroke victory over second-place Duke, which was followed by the host Demon Deacons (+42) and San Francisco (+47) in third and fourth place, respectively.
Clemson's Zack Gordon and Colby Patton shared medalist honors at 2-over 212 while Duke's Jimmy Zheng and AJ Beechler of East Carolina finished one back at 3-over 213.
Gordon capped a final round 69 with a birdie on the last to gain a share of the individual title with Patton, who closed with a 1-over 71.
