GREENVILLE, SC (June 1, 2017) - Todd Hendley of Greer, SC shot his third consecutive par-or-better round Friday, an even par 72 that allowed him to pull away from the rest of the field and win the Chanticleer Senior Invitational at Greenville Country Club.

Hendley started the day two shots ahead of his closest pursuer, Scott Mayne of Harrisburg, PA. The lead was immediately cut to one when Hendley doubled the first hole, but birdies on two and five righted the ship and allowed him to build the lead the rest of the round. In the end it was an even-par 72 to go along with his first two rounds of 71-72 for a 215 total and a seven shot win.

Mayne finished with a 77 to finish in a tie for second with Walter Todd of Laurens, SC who closed with a 74.

Pat Thompson of Asheville, NC and Allen Barber of Yorktown, PA finished join third at 223.

The 2014 Champion Steve Sharpe of Greensboro, NC finished tied ninth at 229.

In the Super Senior Division, the defending champion Neil Spitalny of Chattanooga, TN and Greenville Country Club member Johnny Dennis entered the final round tied for the lead, but it was Tim Miller of Venice, FL who had the low round of the day, an even-par 72, to win by one over Spitalny and four over Dennis.

Peter Van Ingen of New York, NY finished solo fourth, while Robert Hess, Curt Knorr and Don Russell shared fifth.

In the Legends Division, played at the Riverside Course at GCC, Don Wood of Louisville, KY had the low final round, a one-under 71, to pull away from the field and win by five shots over George Washburn of Frederick, MD. John Blank finished solo third.
