NCAA Southeast Regional: No. 1 Alabama rolls

AUBURN, Ala. (May 17, 2014) -- Cory Whitsett shot rounds of 71-69-72 to pace top-ranked Alabama to the NCAA Men's Golf Southeast Regional title Saturday at Auburn's University Club.
Whitsett finished second in the individual race but the Tide rolled to a 22-shot victory over second-place Kennesaw State.
Alabama also received Top 10 performances from Tom Lovelady (72-71-70) and Trey Mullinax (71-73-71). Robby Shelton shot a final-round 69 to take 13th.
Jimmy Beck led Kennesaw State, shooting rounds of 74-74-71.
Auburn took third place at its home course. The Tigers were led by rounds of 70-72-73 from Niclas Carlsson, who finished tied for seventh place.
Marco Iten of Austin Peay State was the individual medalist. Playing only as an individual, Iten shot 71-70-67 to nip Whitsett by four shots.
