NCAA Southeast: 'Bama takes lead at Auburn

AUBURN, Ala. (May 15, 2014) -- They might have been at Auburn's home course, but Alabama sure felt right at home.
Playing at Auburn's University Club, the top-ranked Tide rolled to a first-round lead in the NCAA Men's Southeast Regional.
On the strength of 71s from Trey Mullinax and Cory Whitsett, Alabama is up by six shots over Texas after Round 1.
Beau Hossler led the Longhorns, shooting 71 while Toni Hakula, Brax McCarthy and Gavin Hall all shot 74 to keep Texas consistent.
In third is Auburn, which six just seven back of rival 'Bama.
In the individual race, Louisville's Robin Sciot-Siegrist leads all players. He shot 69 in Round 1 and is up by a shot over Auburn's Niclas Carlsson and Yannik Paul of Colorado.
