Memorial Amateur: Stone takes lead
CARMICHAEL, Calif. (May 26, 2013) -- Joshua Stone shot a second-round 66 and takes a two-shot lead into the final round of play at the 2013 Memorial Amateur Championship at Ancil Hoffman Golf Course.
Stone had a 67 in Saturday's first round and trailed overnight leader Tyler Raber by one shot. The second-round mark was the round of the day.
Matt Cohn is alone in second place after a Sunday 68.
Matt Hansen and Raber, who shot a 71, are tied for third place.
The Memorial Amateur is one of the season's top events, which draws the top collegiate and mid-amateur golfers in Northern California and beyond.
Two-time defending champion John Catlin is not in the field as his New Mexico Lobos prepare for the start of the NCAA Tournament on Tuesday.
