Raber leads Memorial Amateur

CARMICHAEL, Calif. (May 25, 2013) -- Tyler Raber shot an opening-round 66 at Ancil Hoffman Park Golf Course and leads at the 2013 Memorial Amateur Championship.
Raber, a UC Davis golfer, is one shot up on Joshua Stone, Brent Holmes and Matt Cohn in one of the season's top events, which draws the top collegiate and mid-amateur golfers in Northern California and beyond.
Joel Slak, Austin Roberts and highly-ranked junior Cameron Champ are two shots back after first-round 68s.
Two-time defending champion John Catlin is not in the field as his New Mexico Lobos prepare for the start of the NCAA Tournament on Tuesday.
