AGC Diablo Valley: Kilpatrick closes with 69 for win

BRENTWOOD, Calif. (March 10, 2013) -- Keelan Kilpatrick, a redshirt sophomore at Cal, made five birdies en route to a 2-under 69 in the final round at the 2013 Diablo Valley Amateur at Shadow Lakes Golf Course.
Kilpatrick held the first-round lead after a 3-under 68 and didn't look back in Round 2. Kilpatrick topped Ben Geyer by two shots.
Geyer, the reigning NCGA Player of the Year and a senior golfer at St. Mary's, had a final-round 68 but it wasn't enough to close the gap.
Players enjoyed calm conditions compared to the wind and blustery conditions on Saturday.
In the Senior Division, Dave Stone stayed consistent with another 76 to shoot 152 to take the title easly over Michael Carr. In the Net Divison, recent winner Vincent Steele held on to win again by one shot over Chris Ladd shooting 67-73--140.
